The best dressed little girls!

I know it hasn't been that long since my last blog post but it's getting so hard for me to sit on these new shoots! The weather has been great the last couple of weeks so it's been busy.

Little Miss K and her sis, Miss S, were a joy to photograph. It was an 8 am shoot (not quite my earliest yet) and these two were ready to go! As you can see by the photos we were all over the place (in between fresh muffin snack breaks - getting your picture taken is hard work).  Mom said it is next to impossible to get the younger of the two to look at the camera...Miss S...you did great!

Thanks for showing me all of your favourite things to do and hopefully next time it's warm enough to jump in your pool!):

Enjoy!

Happy 19th Miss J!

Continuing on the theme of young beauties....this incredibly diverse and gorgeous trio was very easy to work with! Miss J turned "19" on the day of this shoot....a gift from her Mom (sniff sniff).  Miss J is off to university this September so these photos will be great momentos for their rooms at school.  Thanks for tolerating the hundreds of camera clicks ladies - it was well worth it!

On another note...I am just about halfway through the first year in my photography business and I could not be any more in love with what I am doing. I am home with my girls and starting the foundation to (hopefully) a lifelong career of taking photographs for people.  Each shoot brings new people into my life and makes me learn something more about photography.  I know that I love photography but my true passion is people.  I am overwhelmed with the response to my business and can hardly believe that I am now booking for September! Thanks to all of you who have put your faith in me to make a booking...it means more than you can imagine.

Enjoy!

Flashback!

PROM 2009! Our neighbour had asked me to take some pictures for her son's prom night a few weeks ago. How could I say no to photographing a group like this?! Thankfully, it was a gorgeous night and what fun we all had! Now I have to admit...this put me to the test. I am getting very comfortable with the little ones but to have 16 sets of teenage eyes bearing down on me was new and somewhat intimidating.  Looking at them all took me back oh about 15 or so years to my own prom night. I just could not wrap my head around how fast time has gone since then.  For these beautiful young adults...life has just begun! Best of luck to you all in your post secondary studies and thanks for sharing your "big night" with me.

I had to include 2 photos of my kiddies. A true working mom. The girls were in awe of the big girls in their "princess dresses".  The looks on their faces say it all.

Enjoy!
